Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (also known as Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania or just simply Hotel Transylvania 4) is a 2022 American computer animated adventure comedy film, a sequel to Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation and the final installment in the Hotel Transylvania franchise. The film is produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation and distributed by Amazon Studios. It also features Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kathryn Hahn, Jim Gaffigan, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade, Keegan-Michael Key, Asher Blinkoff, and Genndy Tartakovsky – with Brian Hull replacing Adam Sandler as Dracula, Brad Abrell replacing Kevin James as Frankenstein, and Zoe Berri replacing Sadie Sandler as Winnie – reprising their roles.

Directed by Derek Drymon and Jennifer Kluska. Screenplay by Amos Vernon, Nunzio Randazzo, and Genndy Tartakovsky. Produced by Alice Dewey Goldstone.

The film was released on January 14, 2022.

Dialogue

[barks]
[The movie opens in a house many years ago. A young Mavis stares out the window as rain pours down. She sighs sadly. Then, her father appears, playing his ukulele.]
Bellhop: What? I-I can't believe it. The nightmare… it's over! I'm human again!
Murray: Absolutely not.
Wayne: Nope.
Wayne: Whoa.
Both: Whoa.
Monster Johnny: Why not?
Human Dracula: Right. Still human.
[Back at the party, the ice fountain slowly starts to melt after being hit by the ray while the water glows green. The Drac Pack entered.]
Frank: I-I don't know. It took me by surprise. It's, uh, kind of an improvement.
Wayne: (groans) Drac always does this. I always hate getting caught between him and Mavis.
Griffin: Yeah, "Now that you're human, you can't do nothing about it."
Wayne: "Go do your own dirty work for a change, buster."
Frank: (texts) Okay, got it. (sends the text) Send.
Wayne: You actually sent that?
[He shows them a gif of a dancing cat. The monsters were not amused. Soon, Blobby comes by.]
Murray: That's a nice one, Blobby.
Griffin: Hey, here's to Blobby.
[He gets out a glass and grabs some of the green water from the fountain. He then burbles, to which Blobby replies in shock.]
Griffin: No, Bl… No, Blobby. I just said, "Here's a toast to a bunch of great guys." What does he think I said?
[Blobby narrows his eyes at Griffin and the rest of the Drac Pack have a glass of green water.]
Griffin: (they toast their drinks) Cheers!
[The Drac Pack drinks their drink, though Blobby inserts it into his body. Then, Murray's stomach grumbles.]
Murray: Huh? Whoa!
[His glowing green eyes turn normal.]
Murray: Something is happening.
[His wrappings start to unravel. Then, Wayne starts to lose hair on parts of his body. Next, Griffin slowly starts to turn visible.]
Griffin: Oh, no. [his nose appears] No, nose, nose.
Frankenstein: Uh, wh… why? [his stitches are becoming undone] My stitches. Oh. What the… [grows some beautiful hair] Aah! What’s going on?
[Murray shrieks until he turns into an old human.]
Human Murray: What the...
[Wayne's belly became full but turned out to be skinny to let his losing fur come out of his shirt.]
Human Wayne: My fur!
[Then, his fur falls off and his human head forms, a beard grows on his face. He noticed in fear.]
Human Griffin: [as he becomes visible] Oh, no, no. What's this, you guys? Oh, I'm balding?
Human Murray: What's happening?
Human Wayne: What the...
[They see Griffin fully visible but completely naked.]
Human Murray and Human Wayne: [looks at Griffin] Naked!
[Griffin looks down at his visible naked body and covers himself]
[the three panic]
Human Frank: [offscreen] Wow.
[They turn to see Frank, now a handsome hunk.]
Human Frank: What’s up, fellas? (takes a selfie)
[The others were stunned by this.]
Human Murray: Ooh.
Human Griffin: Oh, he got the worst of it.
Blobby: (confused burbling)
[Suddenly, his stomach gurgles, as Blobby begins to change]
Blobby: (burbling yelling)
Human Murray, Human Wayne, Human Griffin and Human Frank: Huh? (gasps and shouts)
[Blobby transforms into… a green Jello on a plate. A beat was heard. The Human Drac Pack starts to scream loudly in terror after seeing Blobby transform.]
Human Murray, Human Wayne, Human Griffin and Human Frank: AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!
[Cut in the sky, the Gremlin airplane flies through with Johnny’s monster head sticking out like a dog.]
Monster Johnny: Wow. Flying as a monster is so much better. Right, Drac?
Mavis: I really need to talk to you. Dad, are you in here? (checks the coffin bed) Dad? (sighs) Where is he?
Mavis: Okay, yep, something's definitely going on.
Human Griffin: All right, guys, coast is clear.
[They get out from under the table and Murray gives Griffin the apron to cover him up.]
Human Murray: Have you seriously been naked this whole time?
Human Griffin: Uh, yeah. Why would only my glasses be visible?
Human Frank: I-I don’t get it. Why are we hiding?
Human Wayne: ‘Cause if Mavis sees us, she’s gonna know something’s up. Look, Drac said he and Johnny will be back with a cure. We just need to lay low until then.
[They try to leave their hiding spot, but quickly hide when Eunice and Wanda show up. Wanda on the right…]
Mavis: (in unison) Have you seen my dad?
Ericka: (in unison) Have you seen your dad?
Mavis and Ericka': (in unison) Huh?
Ericka: No, I haven’t seen him since the party.
[They try to leave their hiding spot, but quickly hide when Eunice and Wanda show up. Wanda on the right…]
Wanda: Oh, hey, has anyone seen Wayne?
[…and Eunice on the left.]
Eunice: Where is Frank?
Human Griffin: Shh!
Wanda: He's been missing since the party.
Mavis: Well, I haven’t seen Frank or Wayne.
Ericka: Yeah, has anybody seen ’em?
Eunice: I hope they’re not up to something.
Ericka: I saw them on the dance floor…
Human Griffin: Oops, almost forgot good old Blobby.
[When Griffin picks up the gelatin Blobby, Wayne sees his naked butt and shouts in horror. He backs away, bumping down the luggage and revealing himself and the others to the girls.]
Eunice: Frank?
Human Frank: Oh, uh, hey, babe. [turns to her with a handsome look] What's up?
Eunice: [starts to scream louder, shattering glass; marches over to her husband, angrily] Frank, what did you do?
Mavis: [points to Humans Murray, Griffin, and Wayne] And who are those guys?
Human Griffin: Mavis, it's me, Uncle Griffin. You don't recognize me?
Mavis: Uh, no. I've literally never seen you before.
Ericka: Um, Murray?
Human Murray: In the 5,000-year-old flesh. Oh, look at that. (slaps his arm flab) Well, that’s fun. (snores then wakes up) I’m awake!
Wanda: Wayne? [gasps] Is that you?
[The werewolf kids barge and stop, all confused by wondering where their father is]
Werewolf Pup: Hey, where's Dad?
Human Wayne: Um… your dad? Uh, I don't know where your dad is. I just got here. I'm W-Walter.
Werewolf Pup #2: Mom!
Wanda: [annoyed] This is not funny, Wayne! I'm not laughing.
Eunice: I leave you alone for five minutes, and you become a human?!
Human Frank: Hey, chill.
Human Griffin: Cut it out! Blobby's not dessert, okay?
Ericka: Mavis, what is going on?
TV Newsman: (offscreen) This just in.
[They turn their attention to a TV on the wall.]
TV Newsman: (on TV) Breaking news from our international desk.
[Red glowing eyes appear in the dark and suddenly, a big purple monster runs by them. It was Gigi, now a giant monster with horns, spikes, and fangs.]
Monster Johnny: Wait... there's no monster real estate law? Well, then... then that means that this... this was all a lie? You didn't want to have some bonding time with me. [furiously] You just didn't want to give me the hotel!
Human Dracula: No. I-I mean, yes, but…
Monster Johnny: You hate me!
Human Dracula: Johnny, no! I-I didn’t mean…
Mavis: Dad, how could you? After everything.
Monster Johnny: It's easy! [starts shapeshifting] cause I.... Not part of your family!
Human Dracula: Johnny, something is happening to you.
Monster Johnny: [swats the campfire away with his tail and storms off into the jungle] Johnny out of here!
Sunny: Mom! Wesley's touching me!
Wesley: She touched me first!
Human Wayne: (sighs) We're dead.
Frank: (chuckles) Hey. Not bad, huh? (takes a selfie)
[He takes a selfie. Eunice shrieks and cuts off the hair with a sword. The hair is reduced to Frank’s regular hair, much to his dismay.]
[Meanwhile, Wanda relaxes on a lounge chair by herself while Wayne is stuck with the wolf pups as payback for his Walter trick.]
Wayne: [sighs] I miss being Walter. (one of the pups bites his foot) Ow!
[We then see Griffin about to remove his small clothes.]
Murray: (disgusted) Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa! (pulls up his pants) No-no! You-you are keeping those on!
Griffin: (nonchalant) Don't be so uptight. I'm inviz.
Ericka: Go ahead. Now's your chance.
Johnny and Mavis: (shocked) Huh?
[They then see that the hotel is in ruins.]
Dracula: (shocked) What happened?
Mavis: [smiles] Well, we just made a couple of tiny adjustments.
