Nice job with the recent additions of introductions, you have been checked off for this week, and thanks for reverting the vandalism :) --~~Goldenburg111 21:23, 31 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Meta

Thanks with the report, can you add a draft out at Meta in your userpage, so we can merge it? Thanks, you are one of the most wonderful editors I have ever encountered with! --~~Goldenburg111 22:48, 1 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • No Problem Miszatomic 22:39, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
I have added your draft on the report, here, you can make the draft like this: meta:User:Miszatomic/Wikiquote Vandalism Statics (Draft). If you don't like it that way, just say so. --~~Goldenburg111 22:54, 1 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I haven't seen your draft yet? Any updates? --~~Goldenburg111 16:46, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Category Asia

Hi Miszatomic, your addition to Mahinda Rajapaksa was not correct. You only at Category:Asians if there is no other categorization of any other nationality. Thanks --~~Goldenburg111 20:50, 9 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

Thanks for finishing up some of those country categories - I ran out of time before I had to run. Much appreciated. ~ UDScott (talk) 02:26, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

Thank you for all the work you have been doing here for a while. I especially am grateful for some of the recent links to Wikisource, which I am glad to see has developed much since I last worked on it heavily (which was at its start, years ago, when it still had a more unified structure like the Wikimedia Commons, before it divided up into separated language projects). I've been too involved with other things to do much on it since. So it goes Blessings. ~ Kalki·· 23:44, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I was also just looking at this page and debating whether or not to PROD it, but when I read its Talk page, I saw that it had survived a previous VFD discussion. I am inclined to go with that earlier ruling and keep the page. Do you agree? ~ UDScott (talk) 15:22, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

No, I'm not sure if he is notable enough. Miszatomic 15:26, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

OK, but if that is your feeling, nominating it for VFD is a better path than PROD. Since it has previously been discussed, it would be better to have it discussed again. ~ UDScott (talk) 18:11, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

State Fair (1945 film)

Thanks for the help, but generally when I move a page (and there is any delay), as with this page, I am usually then working on improving it. Please allow a bit of time to pass before making changes so that I can avoid an edit conflict. Thanks! ~ UDScott (talk) 18:10, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

a funny difference

between "bolding" and "balding". The former is considered desirable in men and women, the latter not. Look it up. :^) DanielTom (talk) 17:52, 13 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Appreciation

~ Dharma prevails. ~

Thank you for the resolute fighting of vandalism you have regularly done. I can see there has been much going on today, but I cannot stick around to combat it. I must be leaving again soon, and have MANY things to attend to in coming days. I am truly grateful for your assistance in helping to preserve and develop this VERY worthy project. Thank you. So it goes Blessings. ~ Kalki·· 18:26, 13 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I converted your {{prod}} at Charles Saxby to a Vote for deletion. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikiquote:Votes for deletion/Charles Saxby (second nomination). Thank you. ~ Ningauble (talk) 13:09, 14 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Administrator

You have been very helpful, nice, active, and intelligent here. And I know you still will work on pages here at Wikiquote even if your RFA passes. Would you like to become administrator to help assist Wikiquote? You don't have to set it up yourself, I'll go ahead and do it. :-) --~~Goldenburg111 21:38, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I'll accept the offer Miszatomic (talk) 21:45, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I restored the cleanup tag for now. Please give me some time to check and make some adjustments, and then I will get back on this. -- Mdd (talk) 20:06, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I added my share, not saying its perfect now. I still think you did a great job. Cleaning these kind of articles is sometimes (far) more work than creating them, and there is a lot to consider to do it right. Just one thing about weblinks as source, such as for example here. Those links are not stable and can disappear in a year of so. It is important to just add the title of the source article, and the date that the article was released. If no date is given, better look for another source that does give an exact release date. -- Mdd (talk) 22:04, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Biographical articles

Hi Miszatomic, please keep in mind that biographical articles contain a {{DEFAULTSORT:}} tag (see for example here). This function makes sure, that articles are placed properly by surname in categories. -- Mdd (talk) 18:08, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the tip. Miszatomic 18:10, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome. -- Mdd (talk) 18:46, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations.

You are now a Wikiquote administrator. Happy editing! BD2412 T 01:38, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Congrats! I recommend you add a babel to your userpage. And possibly add yourself to Wikiquote:Local embassy if you know another language than English, thanks! --~~Goldenburg111 02:10, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Congratulations, and best of wishes for your experiences as an admin. ~ Kalki·· 05:42, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Congratz. And thanks for adding {{Wikiquote}} on WP for new pages here. Cheers ~ DanielTom (talk) 11:47, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Miszatomic. Do you think you can block all the [not blocked yet] vandals on meta:User:Goldenburg111/Reports/Wikiquote Vandalism Statics to prevent further abuse? Just look at "Notes" and it will state if the vandal is not blocked. Thanks! --~~Goldenburg111 17:41, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
there are some vandals that are blocked that have been blocked that have [Not blocked yet] such as Archie's the name! (talk · contributions) blocked by Mdd.+ Some of these vandals have not edited for a few weeks and are probably using a new username Miszatomic (talk) 18:48, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
thanks for noticing that, I have fixed that. There are three vandals that need to be blocked there, and have been double checked by me. Thanks! --~~Goldenburg111 18:00, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Miszatomic, just saying. Can't you tell that this might be the same vandal on my report? As Ningauble quoted once, these vandals should be blocked on sight. --~~Goldenburg111 18:29, 30 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Goldenburg111, if you are going to quote me then please cite the context. I do not recall ever saying that about one-time IP users removing content. I have said it about users who insert content of an identifiable and consistent pattern of vandalism and spam. The purpose of blocking is to prevent continued abuse, and it does not serve that purpose when it is a one-time incident. ~ Ningauble (talk) 17:17, 3 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • @ Miszatomic: Thanks for volunteering to help with the mop & bucket. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about how the tools work, or where to find policies and precedents that apply to any unfamiliar situation. ~ Ningauble (talk) 17:18, 3 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Miszatomic, you just deleted this article mentioning the reason "Proposed deletion: Not sufficiently notable". However, this article was just created tonight and tagged {{db|hoax/non-notable}}. Afterwards you speedy deleted the article, and you should also stated the reason as such. A real "Proposed deletion" can only be deleted after a week or so. Please keep this in mind next time. -- Mdd (talk) 00:00, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Check out the WQ:PROD and WQ:SPEEDY policy pages for some details about what is what. ~ Ningauble (talk) 17:24, 3 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

QOTD 4 April 2014

I just posted a layout for tomorrow's QOTD at Wikiquote talk:Quote of the day/April 4, 2014‎‎, which needs to be moved to Wikiquote:Quote of the day/April 4, 2014, and seeing you were active (as usual), thought I would give you an opportunity to do a layout update, on one of my occasionally tardy efforts. Congratulations again on your promotion here. It is nice to see more highly active admins around. ~ Kalki·· 16:14, 3 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Y Done. Miszatomic (talk) 17:18, 3 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, much. I am working on ideas for the 5th so as to catch up, and to avoid having to make such requests in the future. ~ Kalki·· 16:23, 3 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

New pages

Can you give me more than 5 seconds to update the New pages list when I add a new page? Don't worry, I will always add to the list when I create a new page - and lately I keep getting into an edit conflict when I try to do so. Thanks. ~ UDScott (talk) 16:24, 10 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Marc Connelly

Hi Miszatomic, I think no article on Wikipedia should be without any quote, referenced or not. Removing one unreferenced quote is no option. The article should be proposed for deletion instead. This situation has recently been stipulated in this discussion. -- Mdd (talk) 11:25, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the follow up. Because he is a Pulitzer Prize winner, I searched for and found some quotes to recreate the article. -- Mdd (talk) 12:38, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Kurt penberg

Hi Miszatomic, I just removed the Kurt penberg because it was a hoax: a copy of the Kurt Cobain article under another name. On Wikipedia there is a similar userpage article User:Info kurt penberg, where the Curt Schilling is impersonated. So I guess we are dealing here with cross-wiki vandalism. -- Mdd (talk) 18:50, 16 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the notice Miszatomic 19:52, 16 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Redirecting merged titles

When merging a title like The Dispossessed, please edit the original page to be a redirect rather than simply deleting it. This has two advantages:

  1. It preserves the edit history, giving attribution for the work of the original contributors as required by WQ:CC-BY-SA.
  2. It avoids making existing links to the article, internal and external, into dead links.

Thank you. ~ Ningauble (talk) 16:41, 19 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

P.S.  It is also helpful to link to the source page in the edit summary when merging into the destination page, so the edit history will have a link to prior contributions. This is considered mandatory at Wikipedia (w:Help:Merging#Performing the merger and w:Wikipedia:Merging#How to merge). ~ Ningauble (talk) 17:27, 19 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Help!

User 68.170.223.134 won't stop vandalizing the following pages:

Fictional last words in animated films
Last words in Disney animated films
I request that both pages be protected indefinitely and/or he be blocked indefinitely.

Hey man

It has been somewhat a very long time (3 - 4 months) since I have been on. I was busy myself at another website and it looks like my father despises the place haha. Is there anything major that happened? --~ Goldenburg111 23:34, 15 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

QOTD layout placement

I just saw you were active here, and thought I would note here that the layout for Wikiquote talk:Quote of the day/October 12, 2014 needs to be either moved or copied into Wikiquote:Quote of the day/October 12, 2014 by an admin, as the page became locked to most editors before I had a layout ready. And while I am making this request, I would like to thank you for all the activity you have done here in recent months. ~ Kalki·· 22:33, 11 October 2014 (UTC) + tweakReply

Thanks much. I have to be leaving soon, but will attempt to get something for tomorrow done before I leave, and so avoid needing any more help. ~ Kalki·· 22:44, 11 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Dragon Ball vandal

Good block. :) DanielTom (talk) 19:14, 6 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

good job

blocking vandals. Glad you're an admin here. Just a note to remind you that IPs should usually not be blocked indefinitely. (If you think they need to be blocked for a long time, maybe try something like 6 months instead.) Okay, cheers ~ DanielTom (talk) 18:31, 20 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your blocks

I noticed that one of your blocks was indefinite. The IP that you blocked is a mobile one and could affect other users in the future. - Bsadowski1 (talk) 17:46, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
