Your closure is reverted

[edit]

Hello Yehudi, thank you for your interest in Wikiquote!

Since our policy expect only admins are in charge of vote closing, and there may be other considerations (= I and another admin doubt if it is clear as you declared), your closure was reverted. Your rereading our deletion policy and other relevant discussion including on WQ:AN will be appreciated.

Cheers, --Aphaia 11:11, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

New Year's resolution

[edit]

Happy New Year! One of my New Year's resolutions is to finish Wikiquote:Bartlett's 1919 Index - but I can't do it alone. There are 234 red links for which articles need to be created, and 275 blue links for which articles need to be checked. Although I've been trying to get one done each day, lately I have not had time to do even that! Please consider making a commitment to help me keep my resolution by creating or checking one entry on this page per week. Help public domain quotes find their home in 2008! Cheers! Thank you for your comment on the above new article. The lead is changed, and so is the content as per comments at the AFD. Kind Regards SriMesh | talk 03:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Judaism

[edit]

Have you had a look at the Judaism page lately? It is almost solely composed of anti-Jewish quotes. Some of these probably belong on Jews, but that page almost has the same problem. I am going to try to prune some of them down (for instance, tonight I moved the John Chrysostom quotes to his page, though I'm sure Écrasez l'infâme (talk · contributions) will revert me). But I thought you might be able to help me come up with some positive quotes about Judaism to balance the page. --Ubiquity 00:50, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing that out.--Poetlister 22:26, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Anon

[edit]

I didn't know about this Yehudi, thanks. Do you just add it to their page like {[Anon]} and hi presso? The welcome comes up --McNoddy 10:29, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Would you be interested in being an admin?

[edit]

Yehudi, you have done excellent work here over the last six months and I wonder if you would be interested in being given the mop, as we say. If so, please leave a note on my talk page. I would suggest that you enable e-mail, as admins are expected to be contactable by e-mail. Regards, - Cato 21:03, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK, I am posting on WQ:RfA. Please confirm acceptance there.--Cato 21:53, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome aboard!

I'm happy to have you now in our team. Well, perhaps you have been following those pages, but redundancy may not always be evil. Please keep an eye on some pages including:

Your attention to policy revisions, specially related to sysop right will be very appreciate.

Again, congrats! --Aphaia 21:42, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

You clearly didn't read the last sentence on the template on his userpage.
It says "Administrators: if this bot is malfunctioning or causing harm, please block it." Keyword: harm. So there! - Arbok 23:37, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
