Would you object if I nominate you for admin here?
[edit]If you were willing to accept a mop for your fine vandalism patrol work, you would be welcome! Even if you had no time for anything else. I have an off-on work-schedule, but grab the mop when I can. I nominated myself for admin, and nobody asked me questions. Won't you join the dance? HouseOfChange (talk) 12:49, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, this is not my first time to hear about things like this (User_talk:MathXplore/2024#Thanks). Last year I had 3 RFAs in one year, and I have 2 more suggestions like this (d:Special:Diff/2298041549, m:Special:Diff/26786272). Less than a year has passed since the last RFA, so I think starting a new one may be too fast and may be disappointing for others. In addition, my current schedule is unstable and I'm unsure if I can respond to questions in the RFA. On the other hand, I'm sure that the number of ENWQ admins are decreasing and there will be a need of a new RFA for this project. Therefore, I will revisit this suggestion when I have more time. Thank you very much for the feedback. MathXplore (talk) 13:06, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
- Given the somewhat low admin presence here, I can nominate you for adminship. Wikiquote probably needs more local administrators (and I am helping out with this). :) Codename Noreste (talk • contribs) 03:48, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- I had several suggestions like this one (m:Special:Diff/26786272, m:Special:Diff/29692874, m:Special:Diff/28572190, w:simple:Special:Diff/10190249, w:simple:Special:Diff/10191832, d:Special:Diff/2298041549, n:en:Special:Diff/4972393, etc. and more in off-wiki discussions), and since my schedule is not stable enough to be responsive in an one-week debate, I am currently postponing all plans like these. I would like to revisit this after a reasonable amount of time.

- If I apply for Wikiquote:Requests for adminship, then I may need to postpone others, and this may also affect the management of other projects. I think I may apply for Wikiquote:Requests for adminship someday, but I don't see an urgent reason for it.

SD tagging
[edit]Sorry a lot for interruption, however recently your tagging for speedy seemed not appropriate, for example, you tagged {{Template:Nw}} {{Template:PC}}{{Template:PROD}} for speedy with the rationale of "broken redirect", however, I found these redirects are not broken. Can you elaborate a little bit? -Lemonaka 02:58, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Lemonaka:
- I found them from Special:BrokenRedirects. This occurred after Special:Diff/3810086.
- After the SD tags (Special:Diff/3809967, Special:Diff/3809986, Special:Diff/3809968), the redirect target has been undeleted (Special:redirect/logid/3576181, Special:redirect/logid/3576209, Special:redirect/logid/3576203).
- Does this make sense to you? MathXplore (talk) 12:25, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
