Dialogue

[edit]
It unites humanity in a way no one ever thought possible when they realise they're not alone in the universe. Poverty, disease, war. They'll all be gone within the next fifty years.
[The Enterprise crew have found Zefram Cochrane]
Deanna Troi: [very drunk] Time line?! This is no time to argue about time! We don't have the time. [she pauses, then looks confused.] What was I saying?
William Riker: You're drunk.
Troi: [offended] I am not.
Riker: [laughs] Yes, you are.
Troi: Look, he wouldn't even talk to me unless I had a drink with him. And then, it took three shots of something called tequila just to find out he was the one we're looking for. And I spent the last 20 minutes trying to keep his hands off me. [she pokes Riker in the chest] So don't go criticizing my counseling technique!
Riker: [laughs] Sorry.
Troi: [defensively] It's a primitive culture. I'm just trying to blend in.
Riker: You're blended all right.

Zefram Cochrane: Let me just make sure that I understand you correctly, Commander. A group of cybernetic creatures from the future have traveled back through time to enslave the human race... Where did you learn to fight like that? NASA?
William Riker: That's right.
Cochrane: Hot damn! You're heroic.

Riker: It is one of the pivotal moments in human history, Doctor. You get to make first contact with an alien race, and after you do, everything begins to change.
LaForge: Your theories on warp drive allow fleets of starships to be built and mankind to start exploring the Galaxy.
Troi: It unites humanity in a way no one ever thought possible when they realise they're not alone in the universe. Poverty, disease, war. They'll all be gone within the next fifty years.
Riker: But unless you make that warp flight tomorrow morning before eleven fifteen, none of it will happen.
Cochrane: And you people, you're all astronauts, ... on some kind of star trek?

[Riker notices Dr Cochrane belittling his own future achievements but talks about his aspirations were debating about the upcoming X-2 Deep Space Shuttle Phoenix sitting on the launch pad in the Launch Complex 39 (LC-39) is a rocket launch site at the John F. Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island in Florida, United States mission launch.]
William Riker: Someone once said, "Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make its own judgements."
Zefram Cochrane: I'm Going to be the First Shuttle Commander! That's rhetorical nonsense. Who said that?
Riker: [smiling] NASA did. Ten years from now.

[the Borg and their Collective threateningly makes Picard growls at him in a fit of ragged out by Worf who being brought to Borg Queen by a squad of Borgs for insisting on self-destructing the Enterprise on account of his previous assimilation possibly clouding his judgment]
Picard: [getting very angry at Worf, ragingly] You have failed me for feeling afraid! There's no transmissions you intercepted! There's no Force and there's lack of faith destroy the ship, and run away! I grow tired of asking this, so it will be no Dark Side, you coward!!
Beverly Crusher: [remorsefully, crying] What have you arguing, Jean-Luc?!
Worf: [furious at being called a coward, angry serious insult to Klingons,] That was never a condition of our agreement, nor was giving any other man I would kill you where you stand! You've only begun to discover your power! With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict, and bring order to the galaxy!
Picard: [wincing, ragingly] I'm not captain, okay? And you're not Lieutenant! There's Borg Queen as Empire, and there will be no Force, and Borg Queen will be Power of the Dark Side, okay?! You're just an ordinary Klingon, and so am I, and maybe nobody ever join the Starfleet Alliance because you didn't work together as a traitor!! Take him away and get off my bridge!!
[The Borgs escort Worf and storms off in one direction]

Jean-Luc Picard: Begin auto-destruct sequence, authorization Picard-four-seven-alpha-tango.
Beverly Crusher: Computer, Commander Beverly Crusher. Confirm auto-destruct sequence, authorization Crusher-two-two-beta-Charlie.
Worf: Computer, Lieutenant Commander Worf. Confirm auto-destruct sequence. Authorization Worf-three-seven-gamma-echo.
Computer: Command authorization accepted. Awaiting final code to begin auto-destruct sequence.
Picard: This is Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Destruct sequence alpha-one, 15 minutes, silent countdown. The war has begun.
Computer: Self-destruct in 15 minutes. Enable.
Crusher: They must never again leave this much...
Picard: [becoming angry] We're not going to hear any more about going down a path I can't build another one!
Crusher: [begins to break down in tears] Then you have sentenced us to death! Jean Luc, you're breaking my heart. You're responsible for everything that happens on this ship!
Picard: Never! You're just not looking through the lies of letters left in the alphabet.
Crusher: That's a pitiful excuse for killing evil people.
Picard: Oh, God. I don't believe this. Look, Don't worry about a thing. Lily always says that being boss and being bossy aren't the same. Nobody got killed for the Enterprise-E, okay?

William Riker: [with orange spacesuit as astronaut] Houston to Mission Control. Come in, Control. Everybody ready for take off to make some history?

Picard: That it was your idea. [hugs Data] Thank you.

Jean-Luc Picard: Yeah, there is. Make it so, Mr. Data! Set a direct course for the 24th century. I suspect our future is there waiting for helm, maximum warp!
