The Hare-Brained Hypnotist is a Warner Bros. Merrie Melodies cartoon directed by Friz Freleng. The short was released on October 23, 1942 and features Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd. In the short, Elmer Fudd goes after Bugs using hypnotism, only the plan backfires.
Bugs Bunny
[edit]- How's about that, thinking he can hypnotize me? Ha! [Looks at his watch] Oh, I'm overdue at the airport. [He takes off and flies like an airplane] I'm the B-19.
Dialogue
[edit]- Bugs Bunny: Eh, what's up, Doc?
- Elmer Fudd: At wast! At wast, at wast, at wast! I got him wight where I want him! [starts to hypnotize Bugs] Gaze deepwy into my eyes.
- Bugs Bunny: Heh, Dracula.
- Elmer Fudd: You are getting sweepy, sweepy. [Bugs goes into his hole, he sticks his head in] You needn't twy to escape. I have you in my cwutches. So come out of there. Come out. Come out. [emerges out of the hole, holding a balloon disguised as Bugs; the balloon rises up and takes him with it] You are Asweep. Asweep and helpwess.
